You don’t have much control over all the factors that were given in the previous post.. You can do anything when the server is down. You also become helpless when someone hacks into your account. But most of the other factors can be control by simply maintaining some basic discipline. Here is what you can do.
1) If you are using a blogger account, you should not create an impression of a spam blog. See my article “Google Banned My Blog”.
2) Always use an alpha-numeric password. This is a very silly advice, but like all silly advices, they are the most ignored ones too. Half of the guys use the name of their blog (with some variation) as their password. Still others never change the password in their entire life.
3) I think, I need not emphasise the need for a good antivirus software. You also need Norton’s site advisor.
4) Always take a backup of the html of your blog. In the html section of the blog, click on “expand widgets” tab, select complete html, and copy that to your desktop.
